EP Validations

EP Validation are an administrative but, in most countries - mandatory step after the grant of a European patent. Validation is the process of registering your granted European patent at the national patent offices of the Contracting States where you would like to own an enforceable right. You can choose any number of countries that are part of the European Patent Organisation. There are currently 38 Contracting States. You can access the list of countries on EPO's website here. Brexit does not change this situation, since the European Patent Organisation is a separate legal entity, does not depend on the European Union.
